Birth Story

As individual as every snowflake, every baby and their own singular birth bring a beautiful new light to your family. When you book SCP to document your birth story, you can choose from several different service packages, or create your own custom package to suit your family’s needs.

Here’s the base features that every package starts with:

  • Optional in-person prenatal visit at 36 weeks,

  • 24/7 on-call availability starting at 38 weeks (read the FAQ section for more info around on-call time),

  • Unlimited hours of photographic coverage during your labor and delivery, starting around 5-6 cm. and wrapping up 1-2 hours after baby’s arrival,

  • Custom editing,

  • 80+ digital image files delivered via online gallery, complete with personal sharing and printing rights, delivered 4-6 weeks after your baby’s birth.

Freshly-Picked

This is the perfect session for you if a full birth story isn’t quite right for you, but you want to catch those fresh, brand-new details that fade so quickly in the first days of life. As a stand-alone, or as an add-on to your birth story package, a Freshly-Picked Fresh 48 session is the perfect baby gift.

  • “soft-call” availability so I can easily clear my schedule at short notice,

  • takes place at the place of birth during daylight hours within the first 48 hours of life,

  • approximately 1 hour of coverage,

  • custom editing,

  • 40 digital image files delivered via online gallery, complete with personal sharing and printing rights, delivered 4-6 weeks after your session.

Baby At Home // The Organic Newborn session

Oh my heart, these sessions are just too sweet for words. Siblings meeting their baby for the first time, snuggles, kisses, bath time, milky grins, all the warmth of the first few weeks. This session can be taken several different directions:

  • Lifestyle: where you put on something nice (and comfy) to wear and we do some casual posing.

  • Documentary: let’s plan a fun, everyday activity- bathtime, making pancakes with the fam, taking the dog for a walk, and we’ll document some golden memories.

  • Organic Postpartum: this looks like lots of skin-to-skin time, in bed or in the bath, breastfeeding, making art out of the raw, candid story that is postpartum life.

Baby At Home sessions include:

  • up to 2 hours of photo coverage,

  • scheduled within 1 month of baby’s birth,

  • custom editing,

  • 60 digital image files delivered via online gallery, complete with personal sharing and printing rights, delivered 4-6 weeks after your session.

What about Maternity?

Yes, I do maternity! In fact, I really love doing maternity photos! However, my schedule is so full that I’m only able to offer maternity sessions bundled together with other sessions. So as of right now, I don’t offer maternity sessions on their own, only as an add-on option for Birth Story, Freshly-Picked, Baby At Home clients, or Bite Size Club members.

The White quilt Sessions // Milestone Photography

The first year of your baby’s life is the fastest they will ever grow! The SCP take on milestone sessions are simple and organic, focusing on your baby’s smile and ever-changing physical and developmental growth. Go from teeny tiny 8 pound newborn all curled up to a bouncy, laughing year-old toddler. And the White Quilt sessions are so easy- I come to your house and you strip baby down to a diaper and let them play on your bed. So simple and easy, so timeless.

  • 30 minute in-home session,

  • custom editing,

  • 25 digital image files delivered via online gallery, complete with personal sharing and printing rights, delivered 4-6 weeks after your session,

  • typically scheduled for newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year,

  • book one session at a time, or bundle the entire first year for savings.

Family lifestory // documentary family photography

Looking for something a little more true-to-life than frolicking in golden fields in flowy dresses? Ok, let’s be real, those family photos are drop-dead gorgeous, but if you’re looking for something that depicts the sometimes-quiet-sometimes-chaotic realness of life with your crew, well, you’re in the right place.

We’ll plan your session around a favorite family activity, or even your daily routine. I’ll bring my camera, you’ll get a gallery full of everyday life, of your babies just the way they are right now, that you’ll treasure for years to come.
